Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth and is harvested after 3-5 years. This rapid growth has minimal impact on the environment. Important to mention is that bamboo can be cut only with an official cutting permit from the government.
To make bamboo ultimately suitable to work with it needs to be processed into bamboo fiber. Our products are made from a blend of bamboo fiber, cornstarch, wood (70%) and Melamine & coloring agents on a soy base (30%). This combination of products provide a smooth surface, visible fine structure and a natural look. The organic binder Melamine is based on sugar extracted from plants (also used in bioplastics).
