Additional inserts to increase the absorbancy of the nappy. Different fabrics have different caracteristics. Hemp is dense, absorbent and trim. Cotton is more pliable. Hemp is more dense and a little more firm feeling than cotton. The top of the line are the Bamboo Doublers. They have a very good absorbancy (60% more than cotton), are a natural fibre, but dry slow. Mikrofibre absorbs 100% more than cotton, but will also make more bulk. Mikrofibre dries very fast:
- Cotton: quick absorbancy, holds in liquid good, normal absobancy, normal drying
- Bamboo: quick absorbancy, holds in liquid good, high absorbancy, slow drying
- Mikrofibre: quick absorbancy, holds in liquid weak, very high absorbancy, fast drying
- Hemp: slow absobancy, holds in liquid very good, slow drying
To get the best results combine the qualities. For example: pocket diapers work best with the mikrofibre insert next to the baby - takes in liquid fast, and a hemp liner as second doubler - will soak the liquid coming out of the mikrofibre insert and will hold the liquid in perfectly.
